Alicja Rokita

Piano

Classical pianist and chamber musician Alicja Rokita started her music journey at age of 4. After enjoying music classes with her friends, she started her music education at the Grazyna Bacewicz School of Music in Warsaw, Poland. In September 2018, she moved to Canada to further her education with Lee Kum Sing at the Vancouver Academy of Music. In June 2022, Alicja graduated from VAM after studying under pianist and conductor Ian Parker.

Alicja developed her piano skills during master classes and summer festivals with such pianists as Amanda Chan, Wojciech Switala, Grzegorz Kurzynski, Philippe Giusiano, and Piotr Paleczny. Alicja is a prize winner of the National and International Piano competitions, among others she received distinction of the first degree of the Warsaw Piano Competition, special prize and distinction of the II National Piano Competition “Chopin pod Wawelem” in Krakow, and distinction of the National Piano Competition in Plock, Poland. She was also invited to perform during International Mazovia Chopin Festivals.

Alicja has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Poland, Canada, England and Italy. In June 2022 she performed at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra “Day of Music” representing The Vancouver Chopin Society.
