MUSIC LESSONS
Theory Courses - Group or Private, in-person or online
Theory courses are offered in both in-person and online settings and are taught in accordance with the syllabus requirements of the Royal Conservatory of Music and the British Columbia Conservatory of Music with the goal of completing one (1) to three (3) courses per school year. Students may register for either exam system.
Accelerated theory courses are also available and start after the May exam session is over and continue throughout the summer in preparation for August exams (which occur in early August).
Online Lessons
Online lessons offer an alternative way to learn from home, providing live instruction and interactive discussions.
For the most effective online class experience, students must have
A device with a stable internet connection
Headphones or headset with a microphone
Simplified class notes are provided
Supervised Mock exams are included to help perfect students’ skills are included
Secure Link to access the online lessons along with assignment submission method will be provided after registration is complete
Note: the suggested minimum age for online theory courses is 10 years old
Theory Courses
*Late Registrations may require a one-time private theory session to catch up to the class schedule.
Classes for Theory 5/6 will be starting in September 2025.

- This is an introductory theory course. An exam is recommended after completion of Theory 6
- Pre-requisites: None. It is recommended that students registering for Theory 5 should be at least Grade 4 in their practical studies
