Charmaine Liu

With a great passion for teaching, Charmaine enjoys motivating and sharing her love of music with students of all ages and levels. Charmaine has dedicated herself to music education for more than 12 years and has worked with the communities of Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, and Coquitlam.
Charmaine obtained a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC), an Associated Diploma in Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and has completed her Masters of Education degree at UBC. Her mentors of music and music education include Dr. Joy Innis, Mayling Kwok, Winifred Scott Wood, Dr. Ronald Morgan, Dr. Corey Hamm, Alice Enns, and Dr. Scott Goble.
Charmaine is an experienced piano & theory teacher and an early childhood educator. She endeavours to explore the wonders of world (multicultural) music with all her students and looks forward to imparting inspirational opportunities of expression, creativity, and artistry through the experiences of collaborative community music-making.
