Fantastic Dance (Op. 124 No. 5) - Schumann

CA$3.00

A very energetic and dynamic composition involving the study of rapid triplet groups. This is an excellent work to develop the playing of a rhythm divided between the hands. In measures 5-13 and 18-25 the first pulse of each triplet is played by the left hand with a legato touch and long phrases. The right hand, contrasting the left, plays the second and third pulses of each triplet in short two-note groups. Careful observation of all dynamics, accents, and pedaling is paramount for an effective performance.

Pages: 2
Tempo: ♩ = 72-80
Grade: Grade 7
Composer: Robert Schumann
Edition: 2022
