Study in G Major (Op. 139 No. 71) - Czerny
This broken chord study is valuable in developing accurate rhythmic playing divided between the hands. Each right-hand arabesque is to be played legato, nimble and light. Release each arabesque with a gentle roll of the wrist up and slightly to the right. The left-hand solid chords which drive rhythm, are to be played as a “crisp”, light staccato. In measures 9-11 the roles are reversed.
