Tarantelle (Op. 100 No. 20) - Burgmuller

CA$2.50

Firm fingertip control is required throughout for clear articulation of the two and three-note phrase groups. Maintain a light touch through measures 31-40 by adopting the use of forearm staccato, i.e. strike each note securely with a slight forward thrusting movement of the arm supported by the fingertip, while rolling the wrist up and off quickly. The elbow must be loose to be able to spring forward with each stroke. To articulate the grace notes in the measures 41-43 draw the third finger fingertip towards you with a quick, scratching motion on the key landing firmly with the second finger on the same note.

Pages: 3
Tempo: ♩. = 132-152
Grade: Grade 6
Composer: Johann F. Burgmuller
Edition: 2022
