Going The Distance (Op. 599 No. 61) - Czerny

CA$2.50

A useful piece to develop rapid, legato scale passages mainly for the right hand. Solid detached chords and alberti bass occupy the left hand. To facilitate the playing of the alberti bass pattern in measures 5-8 and 15-16, use a very slight rotation of the wrist to the left, maintaining a firm fingertip posture, i.e. tip-toe fingers to achieve an even tone accompaniment. Establish the pulse of the Alberti bass by slightly emphasizing the first note of each sixteenth note group.

Pages: 1
Tempo: ♩ = 112-126
Grade: Grade 6
Composer: Carl Czerny
Edition: 2022
