The principal challenge of this study is maintaining evenness in the left hand triplet accompaniment while projecting the right hand melody. Give each right hand phrase a sense of direction by shaping each one with crescendo and decrescendo. Also, release all phrases with a gentle upward motion of the wrist. The left hand broken chord accompaniment should be practiced alone at first and in solid form, to establish an even and secure foundation.
