An excellent study in staccato touch for both hands. Play each staccato note with a full stroke of the key. Avoid playing the keys like they are “hot”, with a sudden recoil odd the keyboard as this will produce a shallow and uneven tone. In measures 17-25 and 42-46 the roles are reversed with the left hand playing the staccato runs while the right hand employs a technique called “finger pedaling”.
